Frequently asked questions
Why convert a WebP?
Many images downloaded from the internet come as WebP, and some programs, networks or forms do not accept it. JPG opens everywhere.
What happens to a transparent background?
JPG does not support transparency, so the transparent background becomes white. If you need to keep it, use WebP to PNG.
Is quality lost?
It is saved as a high-quality JPG (90%) at the same resolution.
What happens to my files?
They are sent encrypted, processed and discarded when the job is done. PDFya does not store or review them.
Is it free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no added watermark. There is a limit of 20 MB per file and 30 operations per hour.
