PDF tools for architects
What you need to prepare, print and hand in drawings, with nothing to install.
Drawings
DWG to PDF
Convert AutoCAD drawings (DWG and DXF) to PDF.
Print large PDF on A4
Split a large drawing into A4 or A3 sheets to print it at full size.
Change scale
Take a drawing from one scale to another, for example from 1:50 to 1:100.
Crop margins
Remove the extra white space around the content.
Pages per sheet
Place two or four pages on a single sheet, for example two A4 on one A3.
To hand in the project
Merge PDF
Combine several PDFs into one, in the order you choose.
Add page numbers
Add the page number at the bottom of every page.
Compress PDF
Make it smaller so it's easy to email.
Resize to A4
Fit every page onto an A4 sheet without distorting it.
Watermark
Add diagonal text across every page.
PDF to JPG
Convert every page into an image.
Print without a plotter
With “Print large PDF on A4” an A1 or A0 is spread over ordinary printer sheets, at full size, with overlap and marks to assemble it.
Send a DWG to someone without CAD
“DWG to PDF” turns the model space of a DWG or DXF into a PDF anyone can open. For an exact scale, plot from your program and then adjust with “Change scale”.
Submit to an online registry
Merge the sheets into a single PDF, number the pages and compress the result if the registry limits the file size.
