Which mode should I choose?

For a scanned signature, a stamp or a logo on a white or single-colour background, use the plain background mode: it is instant. For a photo of a person or an object, use photo mode.

How do I get my signature with a transparent background?

Sign on white paper, take a well-lit photo, upload it and choose the plain background mode. Raise the tolerance until the paper disappears.

Why is photo mode slow the first time?

Because it downloads a model of about 44 MB that stays saved in your browser. After that it starts right away.

Is the result perfect?

With people and contrasting backgrounds the result is good. Very fine hair, glass, or a background the same colour as the clothes can leave imperfect edges.

Is the image uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser and the image never leaves your device.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no added watermark. There is a limit of 20 MB per file and 30 operations per hour.
