Frequently asked questions

What happens to PNGs with a transparent background?

The transparent background becomes white, which is how it would look when printed.

Can I mix PNG and JPG?

Yes. PNG, JPG and WebP can go in the same PDF, up to 20 images of 20 MB each.

Is quality lost?

The resolution is not reduced: each image keeps its original pixels inside the PDF.

What happens to my files?

They are sent encrypted, processed and discarded when the job is done. PDFya does not store or review them.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no added watermark. There is a limit of 20 MB per file and 30 operations per hour.
